Some local citizens are said to be quaking in fear over the imminent release of a self-proclaimed nymphomaniac's list of alleged prostitution clients.

Circuit Judge John A. Frusciante on Wednesday rejected a request filed on behalf of at least 11 men on the list to keep the names secret."I've had grown men crying," attorney Richard Rosenbaum, whose six clients call themselves John Doe, told the judge. "These people's lives will be ruined."

The list includes the names of about 50 men whom prosecutors accuse of paying Kathy Willets for sex. Her husband, Broward County Deputy Sheriff Jeffrey Willets, is accused of being her pimp. He is on leave without pay.

At a hearing Wednesday, lawyers for the John Does argued that releasing the list would cause prejudicial pretrial publicity.

But Frusciante ruled that the couple still will get a fair trial, and he said the media could see the list by Sept. 16.

Rosenbaum immediately filed an appeal.

Lawyers said the list could include some prominent local officials.

Kathy Willets' attorney, Ellis Rubin, said after Frusciante's ruling that once the names are released, "then you can have a field day. You can destroy whoever you want."

Kathy Willets, 33, was arrested July 23 and charged with selling her body for $50 to $150 a session. Her husband, 42, was charged with sharing profits of up to $2,000 a week.

Rubin has said Kathy Willets suffers from insatiable sexual desire and her husband has spells of impotence.

"We are going to show through medical and sex therapist testimony that these situations are not unusual, and this was their way to compensate for each other's deficiency," Rubin said. "The state calls it prostitution. We call it sexual surrogacy."

Prosecutors said Kathy Willets entertained men in her bedroom while her husband hid in the closet and took notes.
