The cutting of two miles of fence on the Escalante Ranger District of the Dixie National Forest has prompted officials to post a $3,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the vandalism.

The cutting occurred in July in the vicinity of McGath Lake. The reward is being offered by the Boulder Grazing Association and the Forest Service.People with information are urged to call Don Mosier at 826-4221, Dave Ricks at 865-3700 or the Garfield County sheriff's office at 676-2678
