Sept. 1-13 Applications for swan permits must be submitted to Division of Wildlife Resources during this period by mail or in person. Swan applications are available at all DWR offices. If oversubscribed, drawing for the 2,500 permits will be Sept. 20.

Sept. 2-30 Mourning Dove and Band-tailed Pigeon Seasons.

Hunters should pick up and read the Doves, Pigeons, Cranes and Early Season Geese proclamation for bag and possession limit before hunting.

Sept. 7-8 Sandhill Cranes Season in Cache and Rich and counties. Hunters must have a crane permit

Sept. 14-15 and should be familiar with the rules for taking sandhill crane before going afield.

Sept. 7-8 Early Season Canada Geese Season in Cache and County. Hunters must have a goose permit and Sept. 14-15 should be familiar with the rules for taking Canada Geese before going afield.

Jan. 1992 Game porclamation for season dates and bag limits for sage and forest grouse, white-tailed ptarmigan, chukar and Hungarian partridge, pheasant, quail, cottontail rabbit and snowshoe hare.

Sept. 25 1991-92 Waterfowl, Cougar/Bear and Furbearer proclamations available at all DWR offices and most sporting goods stores.

Oct. 1 Last Day to Purchase Elk Permits. This deadline applies to resident and non-residents.

Oct. 2-15 General Season Elk Hunt. Hunters must have a permit and should be familiar and rules governing the taking of elk.

Oct. 19-29 General Season Rifle Deer Hunt.
