The Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is planning a working trip to Washington, D.C., Oct. 8-11, and business people along the Wasatch Front are invited to participate.
The purpose of the trip is to strengthen the chamber's voice on federal legislation, inform participants about the federal process and tell the Utah congressional delegation and federal officials about the chamber's stand on various issues.Fred S. Ball, chamber president, said, "With this upcoming election year, the face of Utah politics will be changing. This trip is an opportunity for business people to meet with key Washington leaders."
The cost of the trip includes airfare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, several meals and a Ballet West performance at the Kennedy Center Oct. 8.
