Loving husband, dad and grandfather, LaVar Hansen, age 73, died September 5, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born November 22, 1918 in Emery County, Utah, a son of Andrew and Nora Abelin Hansen. Married Florene Duncan May 17, 1949 in Vernal, Utah. Member of LDS Church. Retired from Machinery Center. Veteran World War II.Survived by wife, Florene, Murray; two daughters, Shirley Richey and Debra Hansen, both of Salt Lake City; stepchildren, Mrs. Terry (Glenus) Daniels, Vernal; Margie Jensen, Mrs. John (Judy) Mathewson, Mrs. Wayne (Jolene) Drage, and Mrs. David (Linda) Zito, all of Salt Lake City; four brothers, Nells, Emery; Magnus, Lindon; LaVell, California; Ethan, Layton; one sister, Mrs. Milton (Barbara) Young, Panguitch; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 12 noon, at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and on Monday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Utah Veterans
Memorial Park.
