The opening meeting of the Women's State Legislative Council preparing for the 1992 legislative session will be Thursday, Sept. 26, at 9:30 a.m. in the State Office Building auditorium, located behind the State Capitol.
The program will focus on the 200th anniversary of the Bill of Rights. Scott Matheson Jr., a University of Utah law professor and constitutional scholar, will moderate a discussion of the Bill of Rights. On the panel will be Judge Stephen Anderson, 10th Circuit Court of Appeals; Dee Benson, U.S. attorney for Utah; Justice Christine Durham, Utah Supreme Court; University of Utah law professor Edwin Firmage; Rex Lee, president of Brigham Young University and former U.S. solicitor general; and University of Utah political science professor J.D. Williams.
