Norman Wesley Smith, age 74, died September 6, 1991 after a struggle with cancer.
Born in Logan, Utah on November 12, 1916 to Lorenzo and Florence Priday Smith. Married Mary Sue Bennengton on February 14, 1941 in Salt Lake City; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 18, 1961. Active in the LDS Church working a stake mission of two years as tour guide at Jordan River LDS Temple; served as a High Priest group leader; and taught actively in the church for many years. Employed by Mountain Fuel Supply Co. for 13 years and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1980.Survived by his wife, Mary Sue; one son, Donald Lee, Haiti; two daughters-in-law, Patricia, Haiti; and Suzi, Salt Lake City; two grandsons, Scott and Derek, both of Los Angeles; one sister, Leora Willey, Washington D.C.; and one brother, Collins, Ogden.
Graveside services Monday, September 9, 1 p.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
