Born in Omar (Attica, Ohio) August 25, 1909--Died January 8, 1992. Raised in Utah. Attended Westminster College. Veteran of World War II. He worked in the coal mines in Carbon County for many years; later as a building contractor.Survived by his wife of 40 years, Fae Crook Dean; children, Dr. Nowlan K. Dean, Dayton, Ohio; Dorothy and Tom Stockard, Westminster, Calif.; Marilyn Jacobsen, Fruit Heights; stepdaughters, Velma and Kenneth Harmon, Price; Karen and Lew Lewis, Coopville, Wash.; grandchildren, Brad and Scott Harmon; Cindy Burdick, Heidi Zammantakis; Kelly, Lynn, Dana, Erick, and
