Laura Blanchette Myers Deuel, age 92, died Saturday, Janaury 11, 1992.

She was born January 10, 1900 in Panguitch, Utah to Joseph William and Luna Elizabeth Dickenson Myers. She married George Rile Deuel in June of 1917 in Panguitch, Utah; he preceded her in death in 1969.Mrs. Deuel was an active member of the LDS Church, where she served as a Relief Society teacher for many years. She loved people and enjoyed fishing. Born in Panguitch, she has lived in Escalante, Santaquin, Spring Lake, Salt Lake City, Utah and in California. She has resided at the home of her daughter in Hurricane for the past two and a half years. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Surviving family members include one son and one daughter, Jay R. Deuel of Spring Lake; Phyllis Angell of Hurricane; seven grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 14, 1992, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 North Main, where friends may call one hour prior to services.

Additional funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 15, 1992, at 1:00 p.m. at the Spring Lake Utah LDS Ward chapel, where friends may call one hour prior to services.

Interment, Payson City Cemetery.
