Edith Williams Pendleton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, age 86, passed away January 12, 1992 with her loving husband at her side.
Born Nov. 19, 1905 in Taylorsville, Utah, a daughter of Ezra
Thomas and Hilda Sophia Peterson Williams. Married Murlin Rhead Pendleton Nov. 23, 1927, in San Francisco, California; marriage solemnized six months later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lifetime active member of LDS Church. Teacher in all auxiliaries, Relief Society president, member of ward choir until just recently. Member of D.U.P. Accomplished designer and seamstress. Avid gardener.Survived by husband, Murlin, Taylorsville; three daughters and two sons, Mrs. A. Lowell (June P.) Sorensen, West Valley City; Mrs. H. Ward (Nancy P.) Nielsen, Weston, Idaho; Mrs. L. Ray (Sharon P.) Remund, So. Jordan; Monte Williams and wife, Collette Pendleton, Nipoma, Calif.; Mark Craig, and wife Shirley Pendleton, Riverton; 39 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel W. Johnson, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by son, John Murlin Pendleton, granddaughter,
Valancy Workman; four sisters, three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday,
11 a.m., at Taylorsville 8th Ward, 1495 West
Tamarack Road (4600 South). Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Golden Rule
Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Rd., and Wednesday at the church 10-10:40 a.m.
Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
