Christie Beck, age 87, passed away Friday, January 17, 1992 after a lingering illness. She fulfilled a gentle lifetime, leaving grace and love into the lives of those she touched.
Christie was born in Spring City, Utah, August 3, 1904 to Christine Marie Jensen and Rasmus Adolf Strate. She married Allen I. Beck, in the fall of 1926. During her lifetime, Christie volunteer her time and energy to many service organizations, her Relief Society and Church activities. She was active in various social clubs. Christie was especially well remembered by hundreds of couples for her beautiful wedding cakes she created for them for over 35 years. Her pioneer strength of spirit is a model of her perseverance and willing devotion. Christie is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and seven brothers.Survived by husband, Allen, son, Yale, daughter in law, Erma, daughter, Carma, four grandchildren, Linda Chandler, Laura Wolking, Kendall Beck, Eric Beck, all of Salt Lake; 10 great-grandchildren. Her warmth, caring love and compassion will be greatly missed.
Funeral services Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the ward chapel in Spring City. Friends may call Ursenback Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tuesday, January 21, 7-9 p.m. and 9:30-10:30 before services at the ward chapel
