The Gathering Place
In conjunction with the Nebo, Provo and Alpine School Districts, The Gathering Place is offering free parenting classes beginning Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 21, 22 and 23.The nine-week course, "Developing Responsible Children," offers free class materials, free child care and refreshments for children. All classes are held from 7 to 9 p.m.
Alpine School District residents may attend at the following locations:
- Tuesdays at Central Elementary, 95 N. 400 East, Pleasant Grove.
- Wednesdays at Bonneville Elementary, 1245 N. 800 West, Orem.
- Thursdays at Greenwood Elementary, 50 E. 200 South, American Fork.
Provo School district parents may attend at the following locations:
- Tuesdays at Provo High School, 1125 N. University Ave.
- Wednesdays at Joaquin Elementary, 550 N. 600 East, Provo.
- Thursdays at Grandview Elementary, 1591 N. Jordan Ave., Provo, and Sunset View Elementary, 525 S. 1600 West, Provo.
Parents in the Nebo School will meet Tuesdays at the United Way Building, 775 N. Main in Spanish Fork.
Parents can call The Gathering Place at 226-2255 for more information or to enroll.
Alpine School District
Canyon View Junior High School will take the same route next year in solving its overcrowding problem as Pleasant Grove and American Fork junior high schools took several years ago: the seven-period productivity schedule. See page A10.
