At the beginning of a City Council meeting recently, Mayor Robert Steele announced assignements for the year.

Milton T. Harmon will continue as mayor pro tem. In addition he will head economic development, community beautification and will serve on the city licensing committee. Assisting him will be councilmen Richard Paxman and Jens Mickelson.Chad Brough will oversee the parks and cemetery department, the city library, recreation and the Miss Nephi Committee. Other councilmen assisting him will be Harmon and Paxman.

Sworn in to a second term at the first of January, Paxman will oversee the electric department, building, water and power board, the planning and zoning committee and will represent the city on the Utah Municipal Power Association.

The newly elected councilmen, Kelly Andersen and Mickelson, received their assignments as well.

Andersen will oversee the streets, sidewalks, solid waste, airport and administration committee. Brough and Harmon will be on his committees.

Mickelson will be over the water and sewer, public health, and election committee. His council assistants will be Andersen and Brough.
