Juab School District will hire an insurance consultant at a cost not to exceed $5,000 to help study health insurance and consider bids from various carriers.

Superintendent Kirk Wright told board members a district committee has been created to compare various insurance bids. State law now mandates insurance bids be considered every three years. The committee suggested to the school board that a consultant be hired to help with the investigation and decisionmaking process, said Wright.The district has been insured by Educator's Mutual and may decide to continue with the group plan. However, Wright said, the consultant will help the district decide what the best alternatives might be.
