John Batista Laboroi, age 93, died January 5, 1992 in Price, Utah.

He was born November 3, 1898 in Cologate, Oklahoma, son of Antonio and Theresa Transano Laboroi. Married Lillian Chiara August 22, 1923 in Bingham Canyon, Utah; she died October 30, 1989. Member of the Catholic Church. At the age of 2 he went to Italy with his parents, later he returned with an uncle to Novinger, Missouri. When his parents returned they moved to Helper, where John has resided since age 14.A legend in the business community of south east Utah. He owned and operated Spring Canyon Stage, Helper Super Service Station, former director Helper State Bank for many years. Elected to Helper City Council, an avid fisherman and hunter. His many accomplishments of life are an inspiration to those who are willing to work for success.

Survived by sister-in-law, Rochelle Laboroi, Santaquin. He was preceded in death by a daughter Janet Laboroi Williams; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be dearly missed by his community of friends.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Helper. Vigil service will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Mitchell's Chapel, where friends may call daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Committal, Mountainview Cemetery, Helper.
