Roy Frank Reid, age 78, of Ephraim, died October 20, 1992 in Provo.
Born May 15, 1914 in Ephraim, to William G. and Malinda Anderson Reid. Married Melba Nelson in Salt Lake City September 27, 1937; marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a farmer, rancher and businessman of Ephraim. Member of the Ephraim 3rd LDS Ward. Served in many leadership positions in the church and community.Survived by his wife; three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Jack (Charlene) Carey, Springville; Lawrence R. (Larry), St. George; Douglas P., Fillmore; Mrs. Ted (Vickie) Olsen, Ephraim; Mrs. Ken (Gayle) Nelson, Provo; 25 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, one sister, Evan Reid, Ephraim; Mell Reid, Bellingham, Washington; Mrs. Zelda Nix, Midvale. Preceded in death by one grandchild; four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Friday, 1 p.m. in the Ephraim LDS Stake Center; where friends call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment Ephraim Park Cemetery.
