Members of Calvary Baptist Church will observe their centennial the week of Nov. 2-8 at the church, 532 E. 700 South. The centennial theme is "Families Forward in Faith." A five-day religious revival service nightly at 7 p.m. Nov. 2-6 will be part of the festivities, directed by guest minister Rev. Henry Hudson of Oakland, Calif. A former minister at Calvary, the Rev. Hudson served at the church from 1971-73.

The 100-year observance will culminate with an anniversary program on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Morris Goggins, former Calvary member, will be the keynote speaker. Calvary was established in the early 1890s and is the oldest black Baptist church in Utah. The public is invited to all events.
