Mark Dalley has been appointed new administrator of Intermountain Health Care's Orem Community Hospital.

Dalley replaces Laurel Kay, who will serve as the director of health services to businesses in the central Utah region. Dalley will be responsible for day-to-day operations at Orem Community Hospital and will have the functional responsibility for integration and management of professional services in the three Utah County facilities."My job involves working to meet people's needs, making sure there is high-quality patient care, and directing the future of the hospital - its expansion and growth," Dalley said.

Dalley has been with IHC since 1980, when he started as assistant administrator at Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City. He served as administrator there from 1985 to 1991. He also has served as director of administrative services for the Southern Region of IHC and most recently as assistant/

COO for Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George.

"This is my first opportunity to work in an urban facility. This hospital has great potential. I am looking forward to the challenge and opportunity of helping it grow," Dalley said.

He earned a bachelor's degree from Southern Utah State College and a master's in public administration from Brigham Young University.
