Ruth May Rothe Reeder, age 82, of Brigham City, passed away peacefully on October 30, 1992.

She was born January 16, 1910 in Lehi, Utah, a daughter of Max Bruno and Annie Appleyard Rothe.She married Joseph Rex Reeder on June 26, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. At the time of her passing, she was a member of the Brigham City 18th Ward. She served as president of Primary, Ward, YWMIA and Stake YWMIA. She served as a missionary in the Independence Missouri Mission. She served with her husband when he presided over the French Polynesian Mission and the Rarotonga Mission She also served as an ordinance worker in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Mrs. Reeder taught school for many years, teaching at Fairfield, Lehi and Corinne, Utah; and also at Lincoln, Central, Bundorson, and Foothill schools in the Brigham City area.

She is survived by a daughter, Jane R. (Don) Allen of Globe, Ariz.; and a son, J. Max (Joye) Reeder of Brigham City, Utah; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by three brothers, Joseph Rothe and Fon K. Rothe of Lehi; and R Dean Rother of Providence.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Ernest A. Rothe, and two sisters, Fern White and Alwene Ritchie.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, at 1:00 p.m., in the Brigham City 18th Ward, under the direction of Bishop Bruce R. Keller. Friends may call at the Olsen-Myers Mortuary, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
