The two candidates for Provo School Board Precinct 4 disagree on how to improve the quality of education.
Incumbent Gayle Chandler, 54, wants to work within the current system. Board members, educators and parents have developed policies and curriculums that have made schools more effective, she said.Chandler's opponent, Joel Clark, 40, says the public education system is failing children. Clark said he'd use his seat on the board to bring about a "free enterprise" education system.
Incumbents Ken Clark, Precinct 2, and Ken Matheson, Precinct 3, are unopposed.
