Virginia Langford Kearl, 78, passed away Saturday, November 7, 1992 of heart failure at Humana Hospital in Layton, Utah.

She was born March 13, 1914 in Montpelier, Idaho, a daughter of George LeRoy and Celia Pope Langford. She married Alfred Humphrey Kearl, June 11, 1930 in Logan LDS Temple. He later passed away October 31, 1978. She was raised in Garden City and lived in Logan and Salt Lake City for many years. After her husband's retirement from Hill Air Force Base, they moved Vallejo, California. In 1982 she moved to Layton to live with her daughter. She was a member of the LDS Church, active in several organizations in the church throughout her life. She had been a member of the Layton 16th Ward for the past 10 years. She was renowned for her chocolate making and cake decorating and was an excellent cook.Surviving are three sons and one daughter, Douglas Kearl and wife, Marie, Vacaville, California; Darrell Kearl and wife, Karen, Pleasanton, California; Roger Kearl and wife, Linda, Layton, Utah; Mrs. Frank (Dorlene) Brooks, Layton, Utah; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; also surviving two sisters, Lutheria White, Bountiful, Utah; Thelma Freeman, Logan, Utah. Preceded in death by her husband, one brother, three sisters and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1992 at 11 a.m. at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah with Bishop Jerry Bullough officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, November 10, 1992 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary and also 10 to 10:45 prior to funeral at the mortuary.

Interment: Garden City, Utah Cemetery.
