Emily Cook Howard, passed away November 9, 1992 in a Salt Lake hospital.
Emily was born October 27, 1904 in Huntington, Utah, a daughter of Henry Max Cook and Margaret Thomas Cook. She married Levi Elbert Howard, June 27, 1923 in Elmo, Utah; later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.Emily was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as Relief Society President, Young Women President and Sunday School secretary, and many teaching positions. She loved to serve others. She was devoted to her family and loved to quilt.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Heimlich (Raymond); son, Marvin Howard (Edith), both of Salt Lake City; sister, Annie Gardner and sister-in-law, Fanny Christensen, both of Mesa, Arizona; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, daughters, Corrine Howard and Joyce H. Sommer; son, Bruce E Howard; one brother and three sisters and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 13, 1992 at 12 noon at the Richards Ward, 855 East Garfield Ave, with viewing one hour prior to services on Friday. Friends and family may call Thursday evening, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
