Beloved son, husband, father and grandfather died at his home after a valiant and very dignified struggle with cancer on November 15, 1992.

He was born April 3, 1932 to Arch H. and Verda Fox Burton in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many positions including 2nd and 1st counselor in the Bishopric. He also served a stake mission.Ron was a very kind and gentle person. The finest husband and father anyone could ask for. Everyone who knew him admired and respected him. He will be greatly missed. Ron was very talented with his hands. He could do anything from woodwork to auto mechanics, and his greatest joy was working on the family cabin in the mountains.

He married Sylvia Deon Hudson in 1956; later divorced. In 1968 he married Patricia B. Lewis.

He is survived by his mother, wife, brother, A.D. (Bud) Burton, Salt Lake City; son, Ronald Kevin Burton, his wife, Becky and their children, Sarah, Ann Marie, Michael and Rose, Oregon, Wisconsin; son, David Drew Burton, his wife, Corri and their children, Karlee, Derek, Michael and Alicia, Salt Lake City; son, Rik B. Lewis, his wife, Wendy and their children, Brandon, Shannin, Bree and Raina, Trabuco, Calif.; son, Gus J. Lewis, his wife, Carol Ann and their son, Levi, and his daughter, Brittney; her husband, Jason McGrew; and great-granddaughter, Aja Moon Lewis, Salt Lake City; foster-daughter, Barbara J Hansen, her sons, Chris and Benji, El Segundo, California.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, Nov. 19, 1992 at So. Cottonwood 11th Ward, 5235 Wesley Rd. Friends may call Wednesday evening Nov. 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, and Thursday one hour prior to services at the church.

Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
