"How to Eyeball the Structure of Our Galaxy" will be the subject of a Brigham Young University astronomy lecture Friday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. in the Summerhays Planetarium.
The lectures are sponsored by the BYU Astronomy Club and are open to the public with a $1 admission fee. The planetarium is located in Room 492 of Eyring Science Center.The presentations will focus on the galactic structures of the universe and explore the interpretation and history behind them, said Irvin Bassett, planetarium director.
Weather permitting, those attending the presentations also have the opportunity to use the campus observatory telescope for viewing the night sky.
