Officials pleading for leads on a prison escape got their wish early Thursday when a man matching the escapee's description robbed a 7-Eleven. Keith LeMar Shepherd, who escaped from the prison on Tuesday, was recognized by the store attendant. Search dogs were brought to the store, but the man disappeared. Other calls throughout the week have led officials to places where Shepherd has been, but he has continued to elude police and their dogs. Shepherd, 33, originally from Spanish Fork, is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a cross tattooed on the middle finger of his left hand. He also has two scars on his left thumb. Shepherd was serving multiple sentences of up to life in prison. He is considered dangerous.
