Two more media companies, Washington Post Co. and A.H. Belo Corp., said they expect to post earnings growth this year.

Washington Post said last week it will have a better year despite soft advertising growth because of lower newsprint prices, cost controls and a strong performance at Newsweek magazine.Belo, the Dallas Morning News publisher that acquired most assets of its crosstown newspaper rival a year ago, said it expects to meet analysts' estimates that its earnings per share will triple this year.
