Stella Louise Cook Nelson died December 23, 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 87.

Born July 3, 1905 to John W. and Sarah Reynolds Cook. Married Ernest A. Nelson December 5, 1928. Stella was a loving and talented wife and mother. Both Stella and Ernest focused their lives on service to their Heavenly Father, to their family, and to their fellowmen. Stella served in many church leadership and teaching capacities including ward and stake Relief Society, Primary, Young Womens organization, and Sunday School.She had the unique opportunity of serving with her husband Ernest as he presided over the Hawaiian Mission from 1950-1954. She also served along with her husband Ernest as a temple worker and assisted him in his service as a patriarch.

Survived by a son, E. Wayne Nelson and his wife Carolyn; six grandchildren - Julie, Suzanne, Brent, Paul, Matthew, and Heather; four greatgrandchildren - Gregory, Cassandra, Christopher, and Joshua. Preceded in death by her husband Ernest A. Nelson, her son Kent R. Nelson, and her brothers and sisters - William, Shirley, Kenneth, Lottie and Eva.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 29, 1992, 12:00 noon, Monument Park 8th Ward, 1794 So. Texas St. (2390 East). Friends may call Monday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, and Tuesday 10:45 - 11:30 a.m. at the ward.

Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
