Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Hyrum Alvin Kramer, age 64, passed away peacefully Dec. 6, 1992, at his home in Salt Lake City.

Hy was born October 8, 1928, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of William Frederick and Helen Gruben Kramer. He married LaRae Hurst, September 10, 1951 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served his country in the US Navy. Worked for 41 years as a salesman, most recently for Peerless Products. Enjoyed sports, especially basketball. Active High Priest in the LDS Church, Hy served in many capacities, including ward executive secretary, Seventy's president, Sunday School president and missionary in East Germany. Past state executive secretary, Utah Lion's Club. A very personable and caring man, Hy had many friends whom he loved dearly. He deeply loved and was most proud of his family; they will greatly miss him.Survivors include his wife, LaRae; five sons, Neal William (and Leila), Bradley Hyrum (and Teri), Barry Lloyd (and Jodi), Mark Alan and Jonathan Scott (currently serving an LDS Mission in Boston, Massachusetts); five daughters, Julie Rae (and Kevin) Prusse, Jan (and Terry) Cortese, Lisa (and Mori) Paulsen, Stacey (and Brent) Keown and Liz Kramer; 21 grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph William (and Nancy).

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 10, 12 noon, at the Valley View 5th Ward, 2125 East Evergreen Ave. (3425 So). Friends may call Wednesday, from 7-9 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East, and at the church Thursday, for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Holladay Memorial Park.
