Lester Paul Anderson, 81, died Saturday, February 8, 1992 in Salt Lake City.
He was born April 24, 1910 in Illinois to Joe and Ellen Anderson. He possessed a wealth of talents. His love and concern for children and generosity to all was admirable. He was an accomplished artist, lover of great music, author of poetry and short stories and he taught astronomy. He was a devoted member of the LDS Church and former Temple worker. He served in the C.C.C.'s and in the Armed Forces in World War II. He worked for the U.S. Post Office for 26 years and retired in 1974. He was sealed to Helen Augusta Sparks in the Salt Lake Temple in 1953.Survived by a son, Richard M. and his wife, Susan; four grandchildren; two brothers, Leland and Alan Anderson; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife, Helen, a son, Michael, and a brother, Stanley.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 12, at 12 noon in the Rose Park 1st Ward Chapel, 1153 West 800 North. Friends may call at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 So. 200 East, Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and at the church Wednesday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment: Sunset Gardens of the Valley.
