Jeanne Marie Gillespie Carlson, age 72, died Feb. 10, 1992 of cancer in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born November 8, 1919 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Hugh and Blanche Paulson Gillespie. Married Paul E. Carlson December 21, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She worked as a volunteer with the Protestant Women of the Chapel at Dugway, Utah. She ran the library for the combined Protestant/Catholic Chapel. She loved gardening flowers, especially African Violets.Survived by husband; children, Dale Carlson, San Francisco, Calif.; Dawn (Robert) Higley, Highland; Noel (Lauren) Carlson, Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Austin Lee and Cole
Andrew Higley, Haley Marie Carlson; brothers and sister, James M. Gillespie, Brooklyn Park, Minn.; Hugh W. Gillespie, Fairhaven, Minn.; Marlys E. Blakeley, Robbinsale, Minn. Preceded in death by brother, Robert Gillespie.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 13, 1992, 2 p.m. at the Community of Grace Presbyterian Church, 2015 East Newcastle Drive (8900 So.). Friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at the Lakehills Mortuary, 10055 South State, Sandy, and from 12-1 p.m. at the church Thursday.
Interment, Lakehills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society and/or The American Diabetes Association.
