Loving wife and buddy, mother, grandmother, and friend, Ruth Ann Barrett Hitler, age 58, peacefully passed away at her home, Monday, Feb. 10, 1992, after waging a courageous battle with cancer.

Born September 3, 1933, Woods Cross, Utah to Edward Soulsby and Leah Hatch Barrett. Graduated from High School in Pocatello. Attended BYU and Idaho State College, where she affiliated with Val Norn and Gamma Phi Beta. Married Gene Douglas Hitler, of Pocatello, in 1955. Ruth was a good mother having successfully raised four daughters with whom she was very pleased. She was active in her community, serving as PTA president of East Millcreek Elementary, Wasatch Junior High and Skyline High School. She served in numerous capacities in the LDS Church on ward and stake levels and enjoyed doing temple work.Family was her greatest joy. Her husband, daughters and grandchildren always received her never-ending love and support. She appreciated the kindness of her many friends, neighbors and relatives.

Preceded in death by her mother, Leah Hatch Barrett. Survived by her loving husband; four daughters, Lee Ann (Garner B. Meads Jr.);

Belinda Ruth (Thomas E. Anderson); Susannah Gay (Keith E. Brown); and Jennifer Jean Hitler, all of Salt Lake City; eleven grandchildren; her father, Farmington; two brothers, Soulsby Hatch Barrett, Boise, Idaho; Lee Edmund Barrett, Bountiful; mother-in-law, Agnes B. Hitler, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Sat. 12 noon, Feb. 15, 1992, East Millcreek North Stake Center, 3408 Celeste Way. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive Fri. 6-8

p.m. and at the ward Sat. from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
