Born 24 May, 1920 to Lorenzo H. and Mary Grace Curtis at Salina, Utah.
Married Elmer Ray Jacobsen September 20, 1939 in the Manti LDS Temple; they had eight children, Gerald, Albuquerque, N.M.; Sheldon, Salina; Janice kalina, Las Vegas, Nev.; Jolene Peterson, Richfield; Carla Sudweeks, Salina; Rex and Michael, both Las Vegas, Nev.; Brent, Midland, Texas. They have 29 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Vera was a retired worker for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She died at the Gunnison Valley Hospital 15 February, 1992, of a long existing heart condition. Funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, 18 February, at the Salina 1st LDS Ward Chapel, under the direction of Bishop Ivan Hendrickson. Viewing at Springer-Turner Mortuary in Salina, Monday, 7-9 p.m. and at the church Tuesday, 910:30 a.m. Burial at the Salina Pioneer Cemetery.
