ZCMI has won two awards for print advertising at this month's annual meeting in Chicago of the international Retail Advertising Conference (RAC).
ZCMI competed with such well-known national retailers as Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, NK/Pub/Ahlens of Sweden and Trimingham's of Bermuda.The Salt Lake City-based retail chain won awards for two newspaper ads that appeared in the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune. The winning ads were for Guess Electronics and another honoring U.S. troops serving in the gulf war.
Nancy Mortenson, vice president of marketing services for ZCMI, said the company has won a dozen RAC awards over the past 12 years.
ZCMI employs 28 advertising and special events personnel who produce all events and advertising in-house or with local advertising firms.
