Croatian screenwriter/director Rajko Grlic, who has won more than 90 international film awards, will bring his two latest features to the Salt Lake Art Center auditorium Wednesday, Feb. 5, and Thursday, Feb. 6.

The event is sponsored by the Utah Film & Video Center.The Wednesday screening of "Charuga," a historical interpretation of the life of a communist revolutionary turned bandit at the turn of the century, will begin at 7 p.m. and is free to the public.

Thursday's 7 p.m. screening is "That Summer of White Roses," the story of a lonely Yugoslavian lifeguard who shelters resistance fighters during World War II, for which there will be a $3 admission charge (free to University of Utah students with student ID).

Grlic will be present at each screening to discuss his work and to compare and contrast filmmaking in Europe and America.
