A 15-year-old Murray girl remained hospitalized Tuesday with injuries she suffered when she was hit by a car while trying to cross the street Monday.

Dawn M. Bourget, 690 E. Brittany Drive, was running across the street with a friend near 4600 S. 700 East when she was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by Richard A. Hanson, 30, of Salt Lake City."He didn't see her until the last second," said Salt Lake County sheriff's Cpl. John Taylor. The accident occurred about 7:45 p.m. in a dark area.

Bourget was taken by helicopter to LDS Hospital, where she was in fair condition Tuesday, a spokeswoman said. Hanson was not injured during the accident.
