Annabella town officials have decided to install and construct a pressurized irrigation system, setting Tuesday, March 3, as the deadline for contractors to submit bids.

The town council has also approved issuing irrigation water revenue bonds for $250,000, to mature after 26 annual installments. The indebtedness will carry an interest rate of 3.5 percent.Town Clerk Ruth Roberts said costs of the project will include building a water supply equalizing pond, purchase and installation of the distribution system, fees and related expenses.

A copy of the resolution authorizing the bond sale will be available for inspection until March 10.

Some 40,000 feet of plastic pipe, ranging in diameter from 1.5 inch to 15 inches, will be used in the project.

Robert said contract documents may be examined at Intermountain Contractor offices in Salt Lake City or Jones and DeMille Engineering in Richfield. Copies may be obtained from the engineering firm.
