Assist with special projects
and/or data entry. Typing. Flexible times.
Help with current-events class or singalongs at care center. 9:30-11:30 a.m. one to five times a week.
Visit senior citizens in their homes at least once a week. Training.
Assist hospital patients, provide escorts and other duties. Daytime, four hours a week.
Sponsor newly arriving refugee families. Meet at the airport, help set up an apartment, etc. No financial commitment.
Transport refugees to appointments.
Help children catch fish in trout pond. March 18-22.
Teach literacy for Department of Corrections.
Transport patient to Park City. Flexible times.
Work with young or inexperienced mothers.
Answer phone and greet public four hours a week.
Help with child hunger survey. Door to door.
Work in gift shop or information desk of hospital. Evening and weekend shifts.
Volunteers over 50 needed to help children in classrooms.
Do data entry for police department. Flexible times
Give police station tours to Scouts and help with fingerprint merit badge.
Interview applicants for Red Cross Utility Assistance program.
Monitor group homes three times a year. Flexible times.
Supervise volunteer ushers and take tickets. Evenings. Training.
Select, deliver and return books for the homebound. Flexible times.
Befriend a lonely nursing home resident.
Help place foreign exchange students in the area. Training.
Provide shelter home for abused, neglected children. Small maintenance fee. There must be an adult home all day.
Help food bank by picking up food from restaurants, stores, etc. Evenings, one four-hour shift.
Befriend a child under 12 and provide respite care to family of a handicapped child. Four hours a week.
Assist retarded adults with bingo activities.
Provide tax help to senior citizens. Training. Four hours a week.
Give furniture and sewing machines for arriving refugees.
Provide a model car or plane kit, cartridges for Nintendo.
Clothing-assistance project needs business-related clothing for women. Large sizes (14 and above) especially. Shoes and other accessories would be helpful.
Provide furniture for adult day treatment.
Yarn of any size, color or type is needed.
Provide medical equipment for a home health class. Large clock with second hand, walker, wheelchair with foot rests, cane, hospital bed.
Provide large sweats or roomy clothing for rape victims. Clothing must be new.
Donate a love seat.
Contribute gravel to fill parking lot at food pantry.
Provide a piano for a senior citizen center.
Donate books.
Provide artificial or silk flowers and candy to detention center.
Contribute a typewriter.
Provide a large capacity pickup truck.
Give a Macintosh-compatible computer.
Provide trailer that can be pulled with a hitch.
Donate a recliner for an 80-year-old woman who has circulatory problems in her legs.
Contribute an electric stove and microwave.
