Most Popular Runs: Three Mile off Timberline lift is a long, intermediate run that is wide, well groomed and accessible. Also a visually appealing run.
Most Difficult Run: Exterminator off Timberline lift is for the adventuresome . It is a very steep mogul run that will put a skier to the test.
Best Ego Run: Hidden Lake Run off Hidden lake Lift has the right pitch, is frequently groomed and is long enough to get a nice rhythm.
Longest Run: Three Mile, once again, off Timberline lift get the vote. This run is, of course, three miles long.
Special Programs: A women's ski program called "She Ski" has been set up just for women. The program includes morning and afternoon lessons, lunch and video analysis. One-day classes are heid on Sundays, 3-day programs are held on consecutive Tuesday: the Powder Kids program is for children and runs for 3 consecutive weekends-Satureday and Sunday-with instruction in both the morning and afternoon: and the Beginners Program is fr new skiers and includes a pass on the Sundown lift, ski rentals and a group lessons for just $18. Snowboard lessons are also offers.
Special Events: Feb. 15-17 is Presidents Day celebration with special prizes being awarded, Feb. 22-23 is Powder Mountain's 20th anniversary celebration, complete with fireworks, torchlight parade, balloon release and lots of prizes and special prices: Feb. 29 will be the finals of snowboard Coke Cup; and the Beach Party near the end of the season, complete with bathing-suit contest and other activities.
Unique Features: Because of the altitude, and the way the resort slopes and the storm patterns. It has become well recognized for its fine powder snow.
