BYU's women's basketball team easily out distanced a New Mexico team coming back after a five-year hiatus, winning 95-48 in Albuquerque, Thursday night.

Two freshmen, center Debbie Dimond and guard Thais Kidd, led BYU in scoring with 16 points each. Senior Lisa White added 15 and two more seniors, Kim Talbot and Lisa Rathbun had 12 each. Dimond pulled down seven rebounds and junior Tomika Young dished out 10 assists.The win gives BYU a 13-6 overall record and leaves the the Cougars 5-1 in the WAC. Saturday, they take on league co-leader San Diego State in San Diego.
