Guss Evan Perry, age 87, passed away February 6, 1992 in a local care center after a long illness.

He was born April 26, 1904 in Vernal, Utah, a son of Alonzo Don and Ethyl Bingham Perry. Married Reeta Sweeney Young, October 18, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a miner and a welder. Member of the LDS Church. Enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.He is survived by his wife, Reeta, West Jordan; two daughters, Donna and husband, Joe Taufer, West Jordan; Barbara and husband, Carlos Hansen, Salt Lake; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister, Mary Winn, Vernal; half brothers and sisters, Lyle Perry, Arbeth Perry, Flora Jones, and Daphne Lyman.

"Men who are the longest remembered, and whose memories are most highly revered, are not those who made the most money, but those who's hearts were gentle, whose sympathies were broad and who best served humanity", Guss was one of those men.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 10, 1992, 12 noon at McDougal West Jordan Mortuary, 2861 West 7800 South, where friends may call Sunday 6:30-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to service. Interment, Wanship City Cemetery.
