Fred Agren Shurtliff, age 85, died February 8, 1992 at his home.
Born March 16, 1906 in Harrisville, Utah, a son of Charles Jonathan and Emaline Agren Shurtliff. Married Vella Briggs August 4, 1934 in Reno, Nevada; marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served three missions for the LDS Church.Survived by his wife, Vella of Orem; one son and four daughters, Freda Eldon, Santa Ana, Calif.; JoAnn Farrer, Provo; Carolyn Faldmo, Orem; Stephen Shurtliff, Bountiful; Nancy Reynolds, Orem; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother and sister, Orla Shurtliff, Mesa, Ariz.; and Pearl Liljenquist, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by three sisters and one brother, Ida Hoffman, Thelma McCullough, Alfred Shurtliff, and Berth Shurtliff.
Funeral services will be Tuedsay, February 11, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sharon 5th Ward, 150 East 600 North, Orem. Friends may call Monday evening, 6-8 p.m. at the Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 North State, and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions to the LDS Missionary Fund.
