Directions: Take highway 31 east of Fairview towards Huntington. At top of Fairview Canyon take highway 10 east about three miles to pond.

Description: This is a very small, man-made reservoir located right next to the road and in a wide open meadow. Pines and aspens back away from the pond to the south, with open meadow of grass and sagebrush to the north.Fish: Rainbow Trout

What Works: Traditional baits work well - night crawlers, salmon eggs, cheeses and power baits, right after ice-off try bright colored spoons and lures. Flies work well in the summer. Also try small jigs and spinners tipped with night crawlwer or mill worm.

Details: Some of best fishing right after ice-off. Fish shallows near shore. Try small flies early in the spring the go with Wooley Worms with a bubble later on. Also try Renegade and Mosquito on a bubble. In the summer fish baits off points in about 20 feet of water. Good place to try a float tube.

Notes: This small pond was a surprise last year in the spring. Several nice 1- to 11/2-pound rainbow caught. Also planted frequently during the summer with catchables. Some camping around shore and there are several nice campgrounds nearby. Also, Electric, Cleveland and Huntington reservoirs nearby for a variety. In the winter this is a popular snowmobile area. Very little activity in the winter, despite fact there are nice carry-over fish.
