8 CHEMICAL, 7 MECHANICAL INVENTIONS BY UTAHNS ARE AWARDED PATENTS

Eight chemical and seven mechanical inventions by Utah inventors were awarded patents by the United States Patent Office.

Robert B. Clay, Bountiful. A blasting composition containing 10 percent to 40 percent water-in-oil emulsion and 60 percent to 90 percent undissolved particulate solid oxidizer salt. William B. Sinykin, Logan. Snow grooming comb with angularly positioned elongate teeth. Assigned to Logan Manufacturing Company, Logan. Filed May 13, 1991. Patent 5,077,919.

Dennis Hancock, Cedar City, and George Gates, South Jordan. A utility carrier for attachment to a vertical surface for carrying elongated objects (guns). Filed May 20, 1991, a continuation of application April 2, 1990. Patent 5,078,279.

Forest D. Edwards, Danny L. Hardwick and Li Yuan, all of Salt Lake City. An assembly for supporting a drain bag in combination with a urology table. Assigned to Diasonics Inc., Milpitas, Calif. Filed Feb. 5, 1991. Patent 5,078,705.
