`WAYNE' FINDS WORLD PERPLEXING

Canada was Wayne's world Sunday night. Mike Myers, the "Saturday Night Live" star who turned the "Wayne's World" skit into a box-office hit, went home to Canada in character for an appearance at Canada's television awards show in Toronto. He played goalie as celebrities took hockey slapshots at him and explained that Wayne's sidekick Garth, played by Dana Carvey, couldn't make it to the ceremony because he got held up at the border. "Apparently, a student ID isn't valid ID to enter the country," he said.
