Lafferty writ filed

The Utah attorney general's office has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse a 10th Circuit Court of Appeals decision that dismissed capital homicide charges against Ronald W. Lafferty. (See Page B3.)

Alpine School DistrictWhat: The Alpine School District will decide whether to hold a bond election to raise money for the construction of new schools. If the board decides to bond, it will determine how many new schools to build and will set the bond amount and date of the bond election. The board also will discuss alternatives to funding the costs of operating the new schools.

When: Tuesday, March 10, 6 p.m.

Where: District office building, 550 N. 100 East, American Fork.
