S.L. ACTING COMPANY AT USU SUNDAY

Salt Lake Acting Company again travels to Logan on Sunday, March 15, for a free reading of Utah playwright David Kranes' "White Sands, New Mexico." The reading begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art on the Utah State University campus.

"White Sands, New Mexico" is about a man with a well-paying job who leaves it and heads into the desert, meets a woman and becomes involved with her art, her religion and more mystery than he ever expected.Ellen Graham directs a cast including Frank Magner, Joyce Cohen, Valerie Kittel, David Jensen and Michelle Peterson.

Playwright David Kranes is also a novelist who teaches at the University of Utah where he has received distinguished teaching awards. His most recent novel, "Keno Runner," was published in 1989. He recently completed the novel "Making the Ghost Dance."

Salt Lake Acting Company will return to Logan on April 12 for a free reading of "Spinning Into Blue" by Sally Nemeth and on April 26 for "The Dock Brief" by John Mortimer (postponed from February 16 due to inclement weather).

The Logan reading series is sponsored by a grant from the Marie Eccles Caine Foundation.
