Three people escaped serious injury in a potentially deadly accident Sunday morning as a 3-inch snowfall turned U-6 through Price Canyon slick and dangerous.
Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Jeff Horrocks said a car driven by Sandra Jensen, 32, Castledale, went out of control as it traveled east in the canyon about six miles west of Helper.The car spun around, crossing into the westbound lanes and sliding backward into a pickup truck.
Jensen and the truck driver, Thomas Elmore, 20 Pinedale, Wyo., escaped injury. Molly Scovil, 55, Ferron, a passenger in the Jensen car, was taken to Castleview Hospital in Price whre she was treated for minor injuries.
The accident occurred about 10:15 a.m., Horrocks said. "The first report was that serious injuries were involved, but it turned out to be minor."
