Winter-quarter enrollment at Weber State University has reached an all-time high of 14,097 students. The figure represents a 12 percent increase from the 12,581 students enrolled last winter.

Enrollment in undergraduate classes rose to 13,992 from 12,471 last winter, a 12.2 percent increase. The freshman class grew 9.2 percent; sophomores, 10.2 percent; juniors, 17 percent; and seniors, 14.5 percent."All Utah colleges and universities are experiencing enrollment increases as children born in the early 1970s baby boom reach college age," said Robert B. Smith, vice president for academic affairs. "We're getting more than our fair share of those students because more high school graduates are being attracted here since Weber State achieved university status last year."
