PATROLMAN TESTIFIES KING KEPT MOVING

A highway patrolman said motorist Rodney King took stun-gun darts and baton blows to the head and kept on coming at him in what looked like "a scene from a monster movie."

Timothy Singer, a prosecution witness in the assault trial of four Los Angeles police officers, said Tuesday that police used excessive force against King. But he acknowledged that King appeared to keep staggering toward him."And you were scared, weren't you?" asked attorney Michael Stone.

"Yes," Singer said.

Another defense attorney asked the California Highway Patrol officer if he had described King as a monster.

"One of the several thoughts that flashed through my mind was it appeared like a scene from a monster movie," Singer said.
