DEATH: KARL M. KLINDT

Karl Margo Klindt, age 78, passed away March 9, 1992. He suffered from cancer for many years and now is free of his pain and is happily reunited with his Father in Heaven, parents, brothers, and granddaughter that preceded him in death.

Born June 7, 1913, in Tykschau Bei Tondern, Denmark to Hans Christian and Constanze Amalean Lorenzen Klindt. He married Irmgard Herta Freimann, Dec. 30, 1939, in Koenigsberg, East Prussia, Germany; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, March 2, 1955. Served in the German Military during World War II from 1939-1944. He immigrated with his wife and children to the U.S. in 1953. His first love of life was sailing and fishing. He enjoyed working with the boy scouts for many years. He loved going on family vacations, telling great stories, and loved his 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren dearly.Survived by his wife; six children, Uwe Klindt, Elke (Max) Merrell, Heike (Chad) Maxfield, Janet (D'on) Hansen, Gordon (Mecque) Klindt and Kelly (Elaine) Klindt; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mariechen Fuchs, Germany.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 12 noon, German Ward, 630 East 100 South. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday, 6-8 p.m., and at the ward Thursday, one hour prior to service.
